Hictu!: some features

Let’s start with the description of some features:

1. email address book import
Users can import their contacts on Hictu! accessing the section “Add Contacts”. All you need to do is to load the CSV file that you have previously created from Outlook Express, MS Outlook and Thunderbird.
(Soon a system to import contacts from Mac will be available ;) )

2. IM/VoIP accounts
As you can see, the section “Settings” contains your personal profile but you can also insert the IDs for Sitofono, Abbeyphone, MSN, Yahoo!, Jabber, ICQ, AIM and Skype (others will be added soon).
Hictu! retrieves your current status for every service and provides it to all the users that inserted you as a contact in their contact list.

3. Visibility management
Hictu! uses a one-to-one authorization mechanism. If you want to add a contact in your contact list, you have to invite her, asking for an authorization. Once you have request the authorization, the invited contact can see the pending request in the “Privacy” session, if she already have a Hictu! account.
If the invited doesn’t have a Hictu! account, she will receive an invite email with a link to access the “Join” page.
The section “Pivacy” contains a list of all users which have added you as a contact. If you want to block one of them, you simply click on an icon and that user will not see your status, until you auhtorize her again.

4. “Hictu! as you like it”
Hictu! provides a simple form that users can use to send suggestions or comments to Hictu! support.

5. Forum
For any question or discussion, you can refer to Hictu! forum.

Enjoy!
